1. What Gifty is
Gifty is a mobile application and related services that help you discover gifts, manage wishlists, connect with friends, place orders with merchants, and receive notifications related to your account and activity.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account details such as name, phone number, email, and credentials you use to sign in.
- Profile information and content you choose to upload (for example, photos).
- Order and delivery information (for example, address and contact details needed to fulfill an order).
- Messages you send to us (for example, support requests).
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and app information needed to run the app (for example, device type, OS version, app version).
- Push notification tokens and related identifiers used to deliver notifications.
- Information needed for security, reliability, and fraud prevention.
2.3 Permissions (only when you allow)
Depending on features you use, the app may request access to:
- Contacts — to help you find or connect with friends, when you use that feature.
- Camera / photos — to take or choose images (for example, profile or uploads).
- Location — to support maps or delivery-related features when you use them.
- Notifications — to send push messages about your account and activity.
You can allow or deny many permissions in your device settings. Denying a permission may limit some features.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Provide wishlist, social, shopping, and ordering features.
- Process and deliver orders and communicate about them.
- Send push notifications you have opted into.
- Improve security, prevent abuse, and fix technical issues.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Push notifications (Firebase)
We use Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications. Google may process certain technical identifiers as part of providing this service. See Google's documentation for Firebase for more information.
5. Sharing of information
We may share information with service providers who help us operate the platform (for example, cloud hosting and notification delivery), merchants and delivery partners to fulfill orders, and when required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell your personal information.
6. International transfers
If your data is processed in countries other than your own, we take steps consistent with applicable laws to protect it.
7. Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, unless a longer period is required by law.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
